My STory
Kenrith, the Returned King + Agatha of the Vile Cauldron + Smothering Tithe will allow Kenrith to force each player to draw every card in their decks, plus one.

Proxy Work's genesis began when my son embarked on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in August 2025. While talking to him on the phone, I learned something that genuinely surprised me: a lot of missionaries play Magic.  Apparently, board and card games are a go-to option for unwinding in the evenings.

He asked if I could send him one or two of his decks and when I looked at my options, I found myself hesitating to send him a Rakdos, demon-centric dark sacrifice deck. It just didn't feel right for a missionary.

I've been playing Magic: The Gathering with my family since the Rivals of Ixalan set, and from Day 1, I decided that precons are for other people. I developed a love for designing and fine-tuning my decks to deliver unexpected wincons (I'm especially proud of my Kenrith deck's ability to mill the entire table on the stack.)

Yeah... I'm one of those players...

I sent the deck, but I also decided to make him something. A deck suitable for a missionary. Something themed around the Book of Mormon that my son could be proud to sit down with at a card table in the middle of anywhere. Over the following months, I researched, designed, balanced, and created all-original artwork for what became the War Chapter Nephites deck, led by Moroni, Defender of Liberty as commander.

I didn't plan to sell it. It was a gift.

Then people started asking if they could buy one. And I thought, why not? The Book of Mormon is full of stories that deserve to be revisited and experienced through a variety of methods—some more scholarly than others.  This felt like a genuinely fun and original way to bring these elements of the Book of Mormon to life.

That's what Proxy Work is about.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help people revisit and re-experience Book of Mormon stories in a genuinely fun and original way that brings the characters, struggles, and events to life.
